Planning Board postpones Costco SEQRA decision

Planning Board to review new Costco traffic and stormwater comments before voting on SEQRA Findings Statement at Dec 8 meeting

1. Costco
The continued discussion on the Findings Statement was postponed until the board’s December 8 meeting to allow staff, the board and the applicant to review and respond to additional comments dealing with traffic and from the DEC and DEP on stormwater issues.

Gas station special permit: On a referral from the Town Board which has set a December 18 public hearing on the permit request, the board discussed how to respond to the Town Board given the fact that it has not yet adopted its Finding Statement or reviewed the revised site plan.

2. Grandma’s (3525 Crompond Road)
The board was divided on the extent of the applicant’s responsibility to improve the appearance of the rear of his property fronting on Old Crompond Road.

3. Kiederer subdivision
The board discussed how to reconcile the mitigation requirement of the Tree Ordinance with the need to cut down virtually all the trees on the site to make room for septic fields.
