Planning Board receives Costco FEIS

The long awaited Costco FEIS was received by the Planning Board. Copies of the 6-volume document are available on CD from the Planning Department. The board also reviewed traffic issues on East Main St in Jefferson Valley.

1. Costco
The board officially received the FEIS (Final Environmental Impact Statement). Copies of the document are available on CD from the Planning Department.
 
2. Fieldhome (Soccer field)
Board action on approving the licensing agreement with the town was postponed pending a review by the town attorney.
 
3. Grotto Holding (Route 202)
An amended site plan for the former Salerno Dodge building will be held in August. As yet, no leases for the first floor retail space have been signed.
 
4. Lake Osceola Square
The board discussed traffic conditions along East Main Street and made additional comments about the applicant’s stormwater plan. No new information was available about the future operation of the beach.
 
5. Yorktown Farms wetlands permit.
The board appeared not to favor granting a wetlands permit to accommodate a homeowner’s proposed fencing plan.
