Police Identify Woman Killed In Somers Condo Fire
The cause of the two-alarm fire has not yet been released.
SOMERS, NY — Police identified the person killed in a horrific condo fire in Somers Feb. 16.
The Westchester County Office of the Medical Examiner and State Police Investigators said Colleen McCormack, 74, died in the second-alarm fire in the Heritage Hills area of Somers.
Somers Fire Chief Jonathan Mackey said firefighters couldn't initially search the home at 973 Heritage Hills because of heavy fire conditions.

The blaze, which was contained to two residential units, began around 4 p.m. and was brought under control around 6 p.m. It was fully extinguished just before 11 p.m. and the scene was cleared about 15 minutes later.
No cause of the fire has been released. The investigation remains ongoing with the Westchester Cause and Origin team.
