Police Seek Public's Help ID'ing Suspect Who Tried to Cash Stolen Check

The person was driving a car with a stolen plate and had a stolen driver license, police said.

MOHEGAN LAKE, NY — State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who attempted to cash a stolen check.

On August 29, 2016, the person was driving a black Hyundai Santa Fe with New Jersey registration tried to cash the check at the M&T Bank in Mohegan Lake. The vehicle’s plate had been stolen form Linden, NJ.

Police said the check had been reported as stolen from a vehicle in Wayne, PA on August 25, 2016.
