Poughkeepsie Man Jumps Bail, Doesn't Show For Court: PD
Yorktown police said they were told the man was in the custody of the Dutchess County sheriff.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of jumping bail and not showing up for court.
The Yorktown Police Department said Todd Johnson, 42, of Poughkeepsie, did not show up in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 6 for a scheduled appearance regarding a charge of petit larceny and a charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
The Yorktown Justice Court issued two bench warrants for Johnson for failure to appear.

After learning that Johnson was in custody at the Dutchess County Jail on unrelated charges, arrangements were made for the Yorktown police to take custody of him in order to produce him to the Yorktown Justice Court to answer the two bench warrants.
On Thursday, Yorktown officers went to the Dutchess County Jail and placed Johnson under arrest. They took him back to Yorktown.

He was charged with two counts of third-degree bail jumping, a misdemeanor, and two counts of failure to appear.
Johnson was arraigned and bail was set at $5,000, $10,000 bond or $20,000 partially secured bond.
Police then took him back to Dutchess County and was turned over to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
A court appearance for Johnson is set for Sept. 29.
