Primary Results: Katz Defeats Gristina

Conservative, Green, Independence and Republican lines made up the ballots. Incumbent Assemblyman Katz was the apparent winner in Thursday's Primary election.

"Unofficial" results listed on the Westchester County Board of Election's website Thursday night showed a primary victory for incumbent Assemblyman Steve Katz (R-Yorktown) over Dario Gristina (R-Putnam Valley).

With 81 percent of Westchester County districts reporting, Katz had scored 60 percent of the 836 votes people cast for the Republican line. In Putnam, Katz also appeared to have defeated Gristina with 920 of the 1,398 votes. Republican Dario Gristina scored 456, or 32 percent, and the rest—22 votes— were write-ins.

Katz also took the Conservative line in Putnam, with about 84 percent of the 95 votes.
