Public Hearing For Yorktown Sober Living Residence Under Scrutiny

At issue is whether the special-use permit can survive a change of ownership.

YORKTOWN, NY — Whether a sober living residence in Yorktown will continue to operate will be the subject of a public hearing July 18. The ownership of the property at 482 Underhill Ave. changed hands in May and the town wants to determine if the special-use permit should be transferred to the new owners.

The original permit was issued with a clause that states it would be considered void if the original owners were not involved, tapinto.net.

Tom McCrossan and Mark McGoldrick sold the home, but said they were going to continue operating it, which they said would satisfy the clause.
