Putnam Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown

Police were sent to check out a car that was being driven erratically.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Putnam County woman was accused of drunken driving after a report of erratic driving.

The Yorktown Police Department said Nancy S. Dejesus, 33, of Carmel, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, misdemeanors. She was also charged with three traffic infractions, including fail to maintain lane.

Police said, around 7 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to check out a black Acura that was being driven erratically on Route 6.

The car was located and stopped.

Dejesus was identified as the driver, and police said she was intoxicated.

After being taken to police headquarters, it was determined that she had been driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.

Dejesus was processed and released on her own recognizance to a responsible party.

She is next scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 20.
