Readings by the Somers Library Writers Workshop. Dec 13, 2:30 to 4:30

On Saturday, December 13, at 2:30 pm, members of the Writer’s Workshop at the Somers Library will be happy to welcome you to share their stories. They are your neighbors; they are your friends and they live close by the library where they have polished their writing skills with their writing colleagues and the facilitator of the workshop, Linda Spear, throughout the fall months in the library’s Writer’s Workshop.

These men and women meet every Monday afternoon and ply their craft with function and flare. Some of the participants write short stories; some are involved in memoir. Others are crafting essays, blogs and even books!

This event is funded in part by Poets & Writers, Inc. with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. The Friends of the Library, a very active segment of the library board, graciously contributed to the grant.

Bring family and friends to hear the stories that make the writers laugh with the humor and sit in hushed silence as they absorb the suspense. A question and answer session will follow the readings, along with refreshments for all.
