Rear-Ender on the Taconic Results in DWI Charge

New York State Police from Hawthorne arrested Kaliq Brantley, 30, of New York City, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers responding to a two-car collision on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown July 19 allege that Brantley was traveling southbound and struck another southbound vehicle in the rear. An investigation revealed that he was intoxicated at the time of the crash, police said.

Brantley provided a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .13 percent and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Yorktown court on July 28.
