Reward Offered For Info About Fatal Bicycle Crash In Yorktown
The accident happened in the area of the North County Trailway and Birdsall Drive Sunday.
YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown police are investigating a bicycle accident that turned into a fatality, and there is a reward for information about whomever was responsible. Police said they are looking for a gray or silver SUV or minivan that has passenger side damage and a broken rear tinted window.
The accident happened in the area of the North County Trailway and Birdsall Drive shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday.
CPR was performed on the victim who was then taken to the hospital. The person died as a result of the injuries.

Police said the vehicle which struck the bicyclist fled the scene south on Birdsall Drive to Route 118. The damage to the SUV is believed to be a result of the accident, according to authorities.
The family of the victim is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fatal crash.
