Rockland Man Arrested After Not Showing Up In Yorktown Court: Police

Police said that the court appearance was connected to a pending charge of misdemeanor petit larceny.

YORKTOWN, NY — The Yorktown Police Department says that a 35-year-old Orangeburg resident was arrested and charged with failing to respond to an appearance ticket.

Police say that on August 8, Ramon Calderon failed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court for a scheduled appearance regarding his pending charges of petit larceny.

The court then issued an arrest warrant for Calderon for failure to appear.

On September 5, Calderon reported to Yorktown Police Department headquarters to surrender. He was arrested, arraigned and released on his own recognizance. Calderon is scheduled to return to court on October 10, according to officials.
