Run 4 Recovery, Drug Crisis in Our Backyard, Search for Change and the Alliance for Safe Kids announced the kickoff of the 12th annual Run for Recovery 5K Run/Walk, which supports individuals on their recovery journeys and raises awareness during National Recovery Month in September.

The in-person event is scheduled for Sept. 26 at FDR State Park. Participants also may take part virtually throughout the month.

This year’s event will again include the Save A Life Wellness Fair, offering attendees access to recovery and wellness resources. Organizers said the Virtual Save A Life Wellness Fair also remains available year-round.
