School Closings, Delays For Thursday

The following schools have announced changes in their schedules for Thursday, May 17 due to power and continuing problems in the wake of the severe storms that went through the Hudson Valley Tuesday. This list will be updated as necessary.

• Brewster schools: Closed
• Carmel schools: Closed
• Cornwall schools: Closed
• Lincoln Hall: Closed
• Newburgh Enlarged schools: Closed
• Newburgh Prep High School: Closed
• North Salem schools: 1-hour delay
• Our Montessori School, Yorktown and Carmel: Carmel is closed due to lack of power. Yorktown sites are open.
• Pine Bush schools: Closed
• Putnam Valley schools: Closed
• Somers schools: 2-hour delay
• Wappingers schools: Fishkill Elementary ONLY is on a 3-hour delay today due to lack of power.
• Westchester Exceptional Children’s School: Closed
