School Employee Accused Of Slapping, Force-Feeding, Endangering Disabled Student Is Arrested: Yorktown PD

YORKTOWN, NY — An abuse of trust has led to the arrest of a Hudson Valley caregiver, according to police.

The Yorktown Police Department says that 24-year-old Oscar G. Vigil, of Yorktown, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor second-degree endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

On Nov. 19, 2025, around 5:42 p.m., officers responded to the Shrub Oak International School after receiving a report about an incident that endangered an adult's welfare.

After a months-long investigation, police say that Vigil, a school employee, allegedly slapped, force-fed food, and committed other endangering actions on a disabled student.

On Thursday, at 4:20 p.m., Vigil surrendered himself at the Yorktown Police Department where he was arrested and processed on the charge. He was then arraigned at the Yorktown Justice Court.

Vigil was released on his own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on the victim's behalf.

He is scheduled to appear back in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 4.
