Sears Associate Takes Cash from Registers, Puts It Down Her Pants: Police

She was working at the store located in the Jefferson Valley Mall.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown police arrested a 59-year-old woman Sunday who they said stole money from cash registers.

Louise Miller of East Main Street in Jefferson Valley was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Around 7 p.m., police were called to the Sears on Lee Boulevard in the Jefferson Valley Mall.

Police said Miller, who was working as a Sears sales associate, took $55 out of several cash registers and put the money down the front of her pants.

She was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department.

As being processed, Miller was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Monday.
