Senior citizens spend a "Day at the Beech"

Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School held their 3rd edition of the event for senior citizens talk with students.

It was a "Day at the Beech" for area senior citizens and middle schools students. Last Friday (December 3). Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School held their 3rd edition of the event for senior citizens talk with students.

Twenty-two seniors from the Seabury Assisted Living, Yorktown Nutrition Center and Trump Park joined students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The day included lunch and music by middle school students.

"The "Day at the Beech" gives our students an opportunity to continue to develop a relationship between the school and our community," said Principal Robert Bergmann. "They have the opportunity to "live history" through the eyes of those who experienced it and to give a little back to our community."
