Lusandre Lee Chaudruc will be the featured artist for the month of March at the Somers Library Art Gallery.

An artist reception will be held at the Library on Saturday, March 14th 2-4:00.

Lusandre Lee Chaudruc grew up in Chappaqua and graduated from Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio with a BA in Drawing and Painting at which time she also did an intensive with Louise Nevelson. While teaching art at Horace Greeley High School, she went to School of Visual Arts and Fashion Institute of Technology. She has headed up a Textile Design Studio for 30 years, creating for names as Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Jones NY, Wamsutta, Waverly, Raoul Pene faadu Bois, Sesame Street, etc. After a summer of studying Photo Graphics at Haystack School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine, she entered a show at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild of 600 artists with a photo silkscreen and embossing and was awarded Best of Show by the Director of Design at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Also included in her experience are ten years of Set Design and Mural Painting in various locations including Caramoor Music Festival and Faux Finishing in some of the finer homes of Westchester.
