Somers Transfer Station Will Accept Bulk Refuse
Identification showing Somers residency is required.

SOMERS, NY — Got refuse? Somers residents can drop off bulk refuse at the Somers Sanitation Transfer Station continuing through Saturday, Nov. 16. The transfer station is located at 241 Route 100, across from the Somers Highway Department.
The hours for drop off are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Household items such as mattresses, furniture, carpeting, wood, bicycles and non-commercial construction debris will be accepted.

Not accepted are hazardous or toxic materials (see Westchester County environment and recycling guidelines) and commercial construction materials.
The price is $25 per car; $30 per minivan SUV or station wagon; $45 per pickup truck or small van (up to 3 cubic yards) and $86 per ton for a truck larger than a pickup.

Propane tanks, no larger than 20 pounds, are $10 each. Refrigerators and air conditioners are $35 each with freon and $10 each without freon. The latter must have stickers.
Identification showing Somer residency is required.
