Stolen Lexus Leads To Arrest Of Yorktown Man
Police initially responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man faces a felony charge after being accused of stealing a car. Yorktown Police said Stuart D. Alpert, 51, of Birdsall Drive in Yorktown, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.
Police said that, around 9:28 p.m. Oct. 4, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, which was described as a gray Lexus. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
The car was located and an investigation was conducted.

Police said Alpert was in possession of the vehicle which had been reported as stolen earlier in the day.
Alpert was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters.

He was processed on the charge and held pending an arraignment.
