SHRUB OAK, NY — The Lakeland Central School District board of education has selected a firm to conduct its search for the next superintendent. School Leadership LLC was approved unanimously by the board at its Nov. 7 meeting.
Superintendent Dr. George Stone announced in June that he would be retiring at the end of the 2019-20 school year. He has been leading the district since 2010.

A planning meeting will be conducted in early December to discuss the next steps and establish a timeline for the search.
Afterward, School Leadership will solicit input from various stakeholders, and information about the search will be communicated to the public via email and social media.
