Two 16-year-olds are due in Yorktown town court Oct. 1 to answer charges of marijuana possession, and one of them also faces a second drug charge and a weapons charge.
Police said an officer was investigating suspicious people at Junior Lake Park at 6:20 p.m. Aug. 26. The girl is alleged to have had marijuana, zolpiden and a switchblade in her possession. The boy had marijuana in his possession.
Each was released to a parent after processing.
