Town Board adjourned sober house hearing
Town Board reviewed legal issues surrounding special permit for sober house. Pipeline opponents questioned board's lack of transparency.

1. Auction of town property. Set for Saturday, November 8 at 11am at Town Hall. Details on town web site, www.yorktownny.org.
2. Spectra pipeline and Granite Knolls sports complex
Several residents raised questions about the pipeline project, including the location of the pigging station, the transparency of how Town Board members have dealt with the issue, the Atlantic Bridge project, and the development of more ball fields.
3. Public hearing on the sober house special permit
Supervisor Grace explained the legal constraints under which the Town Board had to act when deciding whether to grant the permit. The hearing was adjourned to give the Planning Board time to review an amended site plan.
4. Park improvements
The board approved going to bid to repair the Route 202 ball fields and to develop a multigenerational play and exercise area at the YCCCC Veterans Memorial Field and a playground for disabled children at Downing Park.
