Unpaid Cab Ride, Suspended License Speeding, Harassment: Yorktown Police Blotter
Here are a few of the recent incidents to which Yorktown police responded.
- A homeless man from Newburgh was charged Jan. 19 with theft of services, a misdemeanor, after he took a cab to Yorktown and then refused to pay the fare, police said. Theodore Jones Jr., 42, is due to be arraigned.
- A Cortlandt 19-year-old is due in Yorktown court to answer charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. Police said they stopped Russell R. Hernandez of Adams Rush Road on Strawberry Road at 3:17 p.m. Jan. 16 and discovered his license was suspended. He was released on $100 bail.
- A criminal summons was issued to a 42-year-old Mohegan Lake man for an underlying charge of second-degree harassment, a violation. The summons was connected to a fight Dec. 21, during which police allege the man punched two people.
