Vedat Gashi Endorsed for Westchester Legislator by Labor Groups
Organizations Emphasize Gashi's Experience, Values & Positions on Key Issues for Working Families

A large group of labor organizations from in and around Westchester have endorsed Vedat Gashi’s campaign for Westchester County Legislator in District 4, emphasizing that Gashi’s experience, values and positions on economic development and infrastructure issues make him well suited to advocate for workers and their families.
“I’m humbled to receive the support of this large group of important labor organizations,” said Gashi. “I look forward to working with them to improve conditions for working families in our district and deliver proper investment fort infrastructure in our neighborhoods.”
The endorsing labor organizations are: Association of Commuter Rail Employees (ACREPACNY); Carpenters - NRCC NY Non-Partisan Political Education Committee; CSEA; CWA Local 1103; 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East; International Brotherhood Of Teamsters Local 456 PAC; I.U.O.E. Local 137; Laborers International Union, Local 60 Westchester Putnam AFL- CIO; NYC Correction Officers' Benevolent Association; 32BJ SEIU; Tile, Marble & Terrazzo Local 7; Westchester-Putnam Central Labor Body; Westchester County Correction Officers Benevolent Association and the Westchester County Dept. Corrections Superior Officers Association. Additional endorsements will be announced by Gashi’s campaign in the coming weeks.

Gashi is running on the Democratic, Independence, Green and Working Families party lines. This fall, for the first time, registered voters in Westchester County will have an additional nine days to cast their ballot, starting on October 26 and leading up to Election Day on November 5. Early voting details are available from the Westchester County Board of Elections.
Westchester County Board of Legislators District 4 includes New Castle, Somers and Yorktown in Northern Westchester.
