Veteran Yorktown Attorney Named to Commission on Judicial Conduct
Marvin Raskin is one of only four people hand-picked by the state legislature to serve on the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct

Longtime Yorktown resident and attorney Marvin Raskin is one of only four people newly appointed by the state legislature to serve on the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, whose members are charged with reprimanding and, on occasion, possibly even removing judges for wrongful behavior.
Mr. Raskin, whose law office is in the Bronx, was reappointed to the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct by State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie for a four-year term that commenced April 1, 2026. Speaker Heastie had first appointed Mr. Raskin to the Commission in 2018 and reappointed him to a second term in 2022.
Additional information on Mr. Raskin, and the other members of the Commission, can be found on the Commission’s website: www.cjc.ny.gov.
The Commission was established in 1978 by the New York State Constitution to review complaints of misconduct and disability against judges and justices of the State Unified Court System and, where appropriate, to discipline publicly those judges found to have engaged in misconduct.
The Commission has a full-time staff operating from offices in New York City, Albany and Rochester.
