John Joseph Bobay of Cortlandt Manor, NY died unexpectedly on February 5, 2015. He was 59 years old.

Mr. Bobay worked as Director of Business Management in Information Technology for Tiffany and Company in Parsippany, NJ. Mr. Bobay was born in 1955 in Patterson, NJ to Joseph and Alice (nee Merker) Bobay. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia and an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University. In 1978 he married Karen Cartelli in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Mr. Bobay will be remembered for his deep love of family and of life. He lived fully and brought joy to every moment. He was unmatched in his role as husband and father. He held a special place in his heart for his parents and siblings and his parents-in-law and siblings-in-law, who he considered as his own. John maintained a singular and magical relationship with his many nieces and nephews. His honesty, loyalty and great integrity were an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He loved cycling and hiking and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed skiing, movies and a lively game of poker. John has left an indelible mark on all who knew him and will be missed beyond measure.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen and his beloved children Lauren Bobay of Cambridge, MA and Gregory Bobay of Cortlandt Manor, NY.

The family will receive visitors at Clark Funeral Home, Yorktown Heights, Sunday February 8th from 10 am - 2 pm.
