Visiting Hours are Oct. 13 for Warren Russo

The former Yorktown resident was 61.

Warren James Russo passed away on October 8, surrounded by his loving family after losing a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was 61.

He was born and raised in Yonkers, NY the son of the late James and Eileen (Jones) Russo. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond, survived by Vincent, Michael and Eileen ( Russo) Thompson.

Longtime resident of Yorktown Heights, NY, he served as a Navy Seabee 1971-1975. He was a proud Yonkers Firefighter for 25 years.

Mr. Russo completed his masters degree at Mercy College and worked for Nextel/Sprint as a manager, relocating to Overland Park, Kansas when they merged. That is where he retired and currently resided.

Dedicated husband to his beloved wife , Susan( Lallo) for 39 years. Devoted father, to their 3 cherished children Anthony, fiancée Heather, Laura, fiancé Andrew and James. He will always be in our hearts.

Visitation to be held at Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Monday, October 13th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A celebration of Warren’s life and mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Tuesday, October 14th at 10 am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Warren’s memory to the American Liver Foundation would be appreciated.
