Barbara Sue MacLean Gualtiere passed June 16, 2013 surrounded by her family at home. It was a solemn morning, as we all shared wonderful memories of the life she lived.
Barbara was born on October 27, 1948 in Yonkers raised by her parents, Anna & Bill MacLean.
She is survived by her husband Jamie Gualtiere of 33 years and their four children, Cindy Moroney of Pleasant Valley, with her three children, Kaitlyn, Michael & Avery. Jimmy, his wife Annette Ray of Shrub Oak and their three children, Kian, Jaden & Anthony. Nick Gualtiere & Dana Gualtiere, of Putnam Valley. She had 3 sisters, Carol McCarthy, Deanna Lazarou & Mary DosSantos. She is predeceased by her brother, Doug MacLean.
Her love for her children & grandchildren was unmeasurable. Her passion to cook and create surely impressed all that loved to share the warm dinners in their home. Her sense of humor and her love to laugh brought many fond memories of all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence. Her greatest dream came true, when she and Jamie bought their second home in Masthope, PA. That was her favorite place to be. Barbara and Jamie shared a love for their dog, Joey.
The Gualtiere family will receive friends at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday 11:15am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Entombment to follow at Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery
