Water Bill Phone Scam Reported in Yorktown
Two residents alerted the Northern Westchester Joint Waterworks this morning about calls demanding payment, threatening water shut-off.

The Northern Westchester Joint Waterworks (NWJWW) billing department received two phone calls this morning from Yorktown residents.
Each caller had been contacted by “Amy” at 914-352-7111 x1056, and told she was calling because a large amount was due on their account. If not paid, the water department would be coming to shut their water off.
Please be advised, NWJWW will not call a customer for payment. All contact is done through written correspondence in accordance with Town Code. In addition, NWJWW will never ask a customer for their bank account information or to purchase a debit card or gift card to make a payment. If customers have any questions or concerns about their bill, they should call NWJWW at 914-788-3400.
