“The humidity will increase… but it should not be completely oppressive on Tuesday,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “That honor is reserved for Wednesday… which looks to be the peak of the heat and humidity. While skies should remain mostly sunny again on Wednesday… afternoon highs should soar into the mid 90s. When you factor in the climbing humidity… it could once again feel like it’s 100° or more!”
With temperatures in the mid-90s today and tomorrow, he offers some tips:
- You’ll want to take frequent breaks if working outdoors.
- Be sure to drink plenty of water
- Do not forget to check on those who may need assistance.
- When it comes to pets… the same rules apply. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them… don’t leave them in the car.
- And be sure to give a 2nd glance into the back seat before you exit your car on both Tuesday and Wednesday… the last thing any of us wants is to forget we have precious cargo in the back seat.
