A broad coalition of grassroots political groups across Westchester have endorsed Vedat Gashi’s campaign for Westchester County Legislator, united in their assertion that Gashi’s values and positions on key issues make him well qualified to succeed retiring Democratic legislator Mike Kaplowitz in District 4.

"I’m grateful for the support of these grass-roots political organizations, says Gashi, a Yorktown resident. “I’m glad they have each decided to join with us in a broad-based effort to maintain a Democratic majority on the Board of Legislators”.

The endorsing political organizations are: Sierra Club Lower Hudson Group; Hudson Valley Stonewall Democrats; Up2Us, Westchester Young Democrats; Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic Votes; WCLA - Choice Matters; New Castle Democrats; Somers Democrats; Yorktown Democrats; New York Working Families Party, Independence Party of New York, Westchester County Democratic Majority and Westchester Indivisible. Additional endorsements will be announced by Gashi’s campaign in the coming weeks.
