Yonkers Man Charged With Burglarizing Gas Station: Police

He was arrested while in court on another matter, authorities said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yonkers man was accused of burglarizing a Yorktown gas station last year. Yorktown police charged Omar Abulteen, 29, of Yonkers, with third-degree burglary, a felony.

Police said they investigated a commercial burglary at the Gulf station located at 3451 Crompond Road that happened March 4, 2018.

Evidence was recovered at the scene that linked Abulteen to the crime, police said.

According to authorities, Abulteen entered the gas station, causing damage and stealing property.

He was indicted on the burglary charge in Westchester County Court.

On Jan. 24, Abulteen was at the Yorktown Justice Court on another matter, where he was placed under arrest and processed at the Yorktown Police Department.

He was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and held on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. He was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.
