Yorktown Area Schools Change Schedules in Snow's Aftermath

It's also very cold in Friday morning.

YORKTOWN, NY — Several school districts in Westchester County have announced delayed starts for Friday morning, in the aftermath of a snowstorm that dumped 10-14 inches across the region.

High winds, drifting snow, and icy roads are the primary factors.

  • Ardsley: 2 hour delay
  • Bedford: 2 hour delay
  • Bronxville UFSD: Classes start at 10 a.m.
  • Dobbs Ferry UFSD: 2 hour delay
  • Eastchester UFSD: 2 hour delay
  • Elmsford URSD: 2 hour delay
  • Good Counsel Academy Elemenatar: 2 hour delay
  • Greenburgh CSD: 2 hour delay
  • Greenburgh Central No. 7: 2 hour delay
  • Greenburgh Eleve UFSD: 2 hour delay
  • Harvey School: 2 hour delay, Bus will meet the 9:31 a.m. train
  • Harrison CSD: 2 hour delay
  • Hastings on Hudson SD: 2 hour delay
  • Katonah-Lewisboro SD: 3 hour delay
  • Lakeland School Dist Including St. Columbanus & Elizabeth Ann Seton: 3 hour delay
  • Mount Vernon CSD: 2 hour delay
  • New York School for the Deaf: Closed
  • North Salem Central School District: 3 hour delay
  • Our Montessori School in Yorktown & Carmel: 3 hour delay
  • Pocantico Hill CSD: : 2 hour delay
  • Port Chester Public Schools: 2 hour delay
  • Public Schools of the Tarrytowns: 2 hour delay, no morning pre-K
  • Rye City SD: 2 hour delay
  • Rye Country Day School:: 2 hour delay
  • Somers Central School District: 2 hour delay
  • Southern Westchester BOCES: 2 hour delay, adult literacy (GED, ESL and Citizenship) canceled for morning session only
