Yorktown Couple Arrested In Rockland On Drug Charges

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown Heights couple is facing drug charges after being stopped on I-87. State police said Christopher Moura, 28, and Cynthia Moura, 34, both of Yorktown Heights, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

The couple was arrested for possession of heroin and cocaine after being stopped on I-87 in the Town of Clarkstown.

Christopher Moura was also charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Both were sent to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
