Yorktown Grange Fair -- Focus on Livestock

Exhibits, competitions, and demonstrations

There are so many reasons why the Yorktown Grange Fair is unique to Westchester County, but perhaps the most obvious and popular features are the livestock exhibits and demonstrations. Horses, cows, oxen, goats, sheep, pigs – the Grange Fair has them all, up close and personal – living reminders of Yorktown’s agricultural heritage.

And, following the venerable tradition of the Grange Fair (now in its 91st year), most of the animals are competing for blue ribbons in showmanship, and many will participate in special demonstrations in the horse ring throughout the fair.

Following is the current schedule of special events in the livestock area:

Try your hand at milking a cow on the “milking simulator”, and enter the Rubber Chicken Throwing Contest on Sunday at 11:00am – maybe you’ll go home with your own blue ribbon!
