Easter/Spring Parade and Egg Hunt Return to Yorktown
The Yorktown Lions and the Town of Yorktown are combining their talents once again to make the traditional Easter Egg Hunt and the Easter/Spring Parade possible – with some Covid-19 adjustments.
On Saturday, March 20 from 11 to 2, an Easter/Spring Parade will be conducted at the JV Mall with the help of the Mall’s marketing staff. Similar to the Halloween event, families will stay in their cars. Candy and plastic eggs will be distributed to each child by the Yorktown Lions. The Lions encourage families to take those plastic eggs and create their own egg hunt at home. The Easter bunny and various cartoon characters will be greeting the families as they drive by. No advance registration is necessary for this event.

On Saturday, March 27, the traditional “Easter Egg Hunt” will take place at Downing Park – with some modifications! You must register IN ADVANCE for this event by signing up with the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department at https://www.yorktownny.org
Space is limited. There will be four different time slots – each separated by an hour - available with a maximum of 100 children per time slot. Due to Covid-19, the event will be closed after a total of 400 children are registered. Be sure that everyone in your group is wearing a mask, and that each child (2-11) has a bag for the plastic eggs!
