Yorktown Man Accused Of Brandishing Knife During Argument

Police said the two victims said they feared for their lives.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of brandishing a knife during an argument.

The Yorktown Police Department said Sulaiman Karim Barry, 25, of Yorktown, was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

Police said, shortly after 7 p.m. December 12, a report was received of a past menacing.

Two victims said Barry brandished a knife in their direction after a verbal argument, authorities said, which made them fearful for their lives and safety.

A detective and an officer contacted Barry and placed him under arrest.

After processing, he was released on his own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 9.
