Yorktown Man Accused Of Drunken Driving

Police were initially called to a car crash.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of driving while drunk after a traffic accident.

Yorktown police said Sean P. Moran, 53, of Yorktown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated BAC 0.18 percent or more, misdemeanors, and fail to use designated lane, a traffic infraction.

Police said, around 1:15 a.m. Friday, an officer responded to Windmill Drive for a report of a car crash.

The investigation found Moran wasn't staying in his lane and was driving while drunk, according to authorities. He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Police said that Moran was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.

He was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 12.
