Yorktown Man Accused Of Violating Order Of Protection
Police the man was unable to post bail and was sent to the county jail.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown Heights man was accused of violating an order of protection.
The Yorktown Police Department said Scott Echeverria, 33, of Yorktown Heights, was charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
Police said, around 4 p.m. Tuesday, they received information from the Westchester County Department of Corrections about someone violating a duly served Town of Yorktown Justice Court order of protection by contacting the protected party.

Echeverria was accused of making contact while in custody of the county corrections department.
After being processed at the Yorktown Police Headquarters, he was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court.

Echeverria was unable to post the $20,000 bail and was sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections.
He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court March 22.
