Yorktown Man Charged with Armed Robbery
Police said he stole property from a victim at knife point.

Yorktown, NY — A Yorktown resident was arrested and charged with armed robbery Friday.
Yorktown police said Ramon Morales, 36, was taken into custody July 1 after they received a 911 call from a man who said he was robbed at knife point in the vicinity of Railroad Park near the Underhill Apartments.

When officers arrived, they got a description of the suspect from the victim and an eyewitness.

The man matching that description was quickly located near 240 Underhill Ave.
Police said Ramon Morales was identified by the victim and the witness as the person who robbed the victim of a gold chain and crucifix.

A search warrant for Morales’ apartment yielded a knife, police said, was used in the robbery and the stolen property.
Morales was arraigned July 2.
