Yorktown Names New School Superintendent

The current superintendent announced his retirement effective July 7.

YORKTOWN, NY — A new superintendent has been named for the Yorktown Central School District. The Board of Education said that Dr. Ronald Hattar was selected to take over effective July 10. Current Superintendent Dr. Ralph Napolitano had previously announced his retirement effective July 7.

Hattar and the Board are working on the terms of an agreement which will be finalized at a public meeting in the near future, according to a district spokeswoman.

“The Board believes that Dr. Hattar’s educational vision and passion will be a great complement to the already outstanding work being done in the district, by our wonderful and talented administrators, faculty and school community,” Board President Jackie Carbone said.
