Yorktown and Somers' Top Democratic Presidential Campaign Contributors
See who is contributing to Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

YORKTOWN, NY - New Yorkers will take to the polls April 19 to cast their ballots for the presidential nomination in each party, and if campaign contributions are any indication of appeal, it looks like former U.S. Sen. and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is on the upswing.
Clinton has received more than $21.9 million to Sen. Bernie Sander’s $2.3 million, according to Federal Election Commission campaign finance reports.

Those numbers, though, are a bit misleading.
While Clinton’s campaign has raised big bucks from individuals, she’s also been helped by massive money pouring in through Priorities USA Action, a pro-Clinton Super PAC that has raised more than $50 million in support of the former Secretary of State, according to OpenSecrets.
Sanders has raised just $44,968 from outside groups, according to OpenSecrets.
However, in terms of who’s donating, Clinton is only slightly more popular than Sanders in her home county of Westchester. According to the FCC, she has 1,791 donations in the 105XX zip code. He has 1,341.
The difference is the size of the donations.
For Sanders, the highest contribution in Somers and Yorktown has been $500. Here are the top donors:
GALBRAITH, SARAH $500
RHINDRESS, THOMAS $500
STROMQUIST, JOHN $250
LAGUE, MICHAEL $250
THOMAS, MICHAEL $250
LANZA, CHARLOTTE $250
STARKMAN, MARJORIE $250
FERNEN, JANE $365
For Clinton, five donors gave $2,700, the legal maximum:
HEALEY, RICHARD D.
GRUBB, PAULA
GRUBB, RALPH
GASHI, ESAT
GASHI, SADET
BESHAR, CHRISTINE
Following voting in three states, Clinton leads Sanders in pledged delegates, 52 to 51. But Clinton holds a commanding lead over the Vermont Senator in the race for the nomination overall with the support of 445 superdelegates compared to just 18 superdelegates for Sanders.
