Yorktown Teen Faces Felony Charge For Stealing Cookie Cake
Police said the 17-year-old broke into a kiosk when the mall was closed.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown 17-year-old faces a felony charge for stealing a cookie cake.
Yorktown Police said Kristian M. Singh was charged March 13 with third-degree burglary, a felony.
On March 10, police were investigating a commercial burglary at the Great American Cookies kiosk in the Jefferson Valley Mall. The theft had happened March 9 around 11 p.m.

The investigation found evidence that allegedly linked Singh to the crime.
Police said, while the mall was not open, Singh entered the closed kiosk and stole one Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake.

Police went to Singh’s residence and arrested him.
He was arraigned in the Yorktown Town Court and was released on his own recognizance to a parent.
Singh is due back in Yorktown Town Court March 28.
