Your Guide To The New SAT: Monday, August 31 at 6 PM at the Somers Library

The SAT has changed! The test our 11th graders take next spring will be very different from the test our 12th graders take this fall. Join us at the Somers Library for this informative talk by experienced SAT tutor Michael Goodman.

Changes to the SAT include:

· length of the sections

· rules for the essay

· way the reading and grammar questions are asked

· restricted use of the calculator in the math section

· the new test is scored

· overall level of difficulty

Mike Goodman, who has tutored dozens of Somers students for the SAT and ACT, has many years of experience with college entrance exams. He has studied the new SAT and will explain what these changes mean for the student trying to prepare for the new SAT.
