Mark Meadows Named WH Chief Of Staff; Mulvaney Ousted

Rep. Mark Meadows, who represents North Carolina's 11th Congressional District, is a conservative ally of Trump, reports said.

WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump on Friday took to twitter to announce the appointment of Rep. Mark Meadows as his new White House chief of staff. Meadows, a Republican who represents North Carolina's 11th Congressional District, is considered a conservative ally to Trump, The New York Times reports.

The appointment effectively ousts Mick Mulvaney, whose been active chief of staff for more than a year. Mulvaney will now serve as the U.S. special envoy to Northern Ireland.
