Masks And COVID-19 In North Carolina: Take Our Survey
As COVID-19 continues to spread in NC, officials are considering a possible mask mandate. We want to know what you think.
NORTH CAROLINA — The coronavirus pandemic has put a tremendous strain on nearly everyone and everything, particularly when it comes to resuming life. Perhaps no issue is as polarizing, however, than how to go about getting back to the daily tasks of life — and the role masks and face coverings should play in it.
Public health officials regularly encourage North Carolina residents to wear masks when around others to help slow the spread of the virus. But not everyone is on board. Earlier this week, Gov. Roy Cooper indicated that officials are considering whether to make face coverings mandatory and if so, in what way to do it.
Patch wants to know what you think. We've created a survey with questions in three main areas: the role you see masks playing when it comes to slowing the spread of coronavirus, how they are affecting your buying decisions, what you think about a possible mandate from state officials requiring their use.

The survey is not meant to be a scientific poll, with random sampling and margins of error. It's meant only to gauge the sentiments of our readers in an informal way. But we hope it gives a broad idea of attitudes in the community at a difficult time for everyone.
