Racial Discrimination Suit Against Greensboro To Proceed
Black Network Television claims Greensboro rescinded a $300,000 economic development loan because of race.

GREENSBORO, NC – Black Network Television sued Greensboro for allegedly discriminating against the African-American-owned television network, and the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear the case.
BNT alleged the city rescinded a $300,000 economic development loan because of race. The city said race had nothing to do with it.
A trial court initially dismissed the lawsuit, but it was revived earlier this year by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. Appeals court judges ruled 2-1 that the lawsuit was improperly dismissed.
