Asheville, NC: Speeding Doofus Attempts Blind Overtake On Sweeten Creek Rd, Nearly Crashes Head-On With Oncoming Traffic (tiremeetsroad.com) — A recent dashcam clip from Sweeten Creek Road near the Blue Ridge Parkway shows a speeding BMW attempting a blind pass and nearly causing a head-on crash, just feet from disaster. 2. Significant Progress Continues on NC National Forests Two Years After Helene (usda.gov) — From its Asheville headquarters, the Forest Service reports major progress restoring Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests two years after Helene, with nearly all recreation sites reopened.
