• Top NC court stays rulings for Beech Mountain in property-rights cases (carolinajournal.com) — Beech Mountain residents are watching closely as the North Carolina Supreme Court temporarily blocks three appeals rulings that had favored the town in a major Skiloft infrastructure dispute. The stay keeps alive property owners' claims that the 2024 off-season road, water, sewer, and utility overhaul amounted to an improper taking, after months of limited access and intermittent service interruptions during construction.
